This is one of my earliest kinetic sculptures. It still resonates with my interest in technology and culture.

A 1/64th scale maquette for a proposed public monument. A noxious and obnoxious tribute to the automobile. When the crank is turned, each of the toy cars slowly immerses itself in the pool of gear oil. When a car emerges, the offensive-smelling oil oozes from the cars openings and the cycle continues.
